These cookies are almost as easy to bake as they are to eat.
This is a recipe my mom used to make when we were growing up. She used to make hers in bars not cookies. Somehow that seemed easier. So either way you make these, they are very easy to make. My daughter is fond of these cookies also.

I have made these "no bakes" for years and they are wonderful. Just a word to everyone, I have no had luck with them "setting up" on a damp, humid day.

I can easily adapt these to make them gluten free. All I have to do is use certified gluten free oats. Thanks for sharing. This looks like a nice cookie to add to our Christmas cookie selection this year!

That is great to know Caryn. I will look in the grocery store for gluten free oats and see how it goes. I now have so many readers requesting a lot of gluten free recipes. Nice to know I can provide one.
