Directions

  1. Boil together the sugar, water, raisins, shortening or butter, salt, walnuts, cinnamon and nutmeg for 10 min.
  2. When cold, stir in eggs, oatmeal, flour and baking soda.
  3. Drop by teaspoonfuls on lightly greased cookie sheet.
  4. Bake 10 min at 350 degrees.
