My family loves this cornbread. It doesn't fall apart like so many I've tried. It also has a nice sweet flavor to it. I like my cornbread kind of sweet. I found it on another site, posted by Recipewrestler, and it has been my go to cornbread recipe ever since.

Directions

  1. 1 Sift together flour, cornmeal, baking powder and salt.
  2. 2 Beat egg.
  3. 3 Add sugar.
  4. 4 Heat milk to lukewarm.
  5. 5 Add honey to milk.
  6. 6 Add the beaten egg and oil.
  7. 7 Add the dry ingredients; mix until smooth.
  8. 8 Bake in greased muffin pan at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
  9. 9 Can also be baked in a 9x9" pan.
