  • 4 to 5 lbs. beef brisket
  • Seasoned salt, sprinkle on top (heavily)
  • Pepper, sprinkle on top (Heavily)
  • Garlic pwdr, sprinkle on top
  • Italian seasoning, sprinkle on top (heavily)
  • 1 foil lined baking pan

Directions

  1. If there's sufficient fat on meat, put it in the refrigerator overnight, after covering with foil. (If not sufficient fat, add in some water).
  2. Bake at 350 degrees for 2 to 3 hrs. Start checking after 2 hrs, when fork comes right out, it's tender and done. Mix au jus packet with water as set forth on packet and cook on stove. Slice brisket in small, even slices. Pour about 1/2 au jus over brisket. Put brisket back in oven at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 min.
  3. This is good to be made ahead of time, then reheated with more au jus when ready to serve.
