Ingredients

  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1/2 c. sugar plus 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. self rising flour
  • 1/2 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 (16 ounce.) can of sliced Freestone peaches

Directions

  1. Heat 1/2 stick butter in 8 x 8 square pan or possibly baking dish. Pour most of the butter into a large mixing bowl. Add in the 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. self rising flour, 1/2 c. lowfat milk and blend till smooth. Pour the 16 ounce. can of peaches into the 8 x 8 pan adding 1/4 c. sugar. Heat till peaches are boiling. Pour the smooth batter in a circle into the peaches. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 min. Serve while hot with 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream on each serving.
