BBQ SAUCE 12 ounces Chili sauce (I used Homade brand) 5 ounces grape jelly 3 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce (low sodium) ⅛ cup brown sugar salt and pepper to taste 3 to 4 pounds baby back ribs DRY RUB ½ Tablespoon coarse sea salt ½ teaspoon pepper 2 teaspoons garlic powder 1 teaspoon paprika

Combine all BBQ sauce ingredients in a bowl and refrigerate until ready to use. Season each half rack evenly with the rub. Using four large sheets of heavy-duty aluminum foil, double wrap each half rack in its own packet. Place the ribs on the grill over direct medium heat and cook for 1 hour, with the lid closed, occasionally turning the packets over for even cooking, making sure not to pierce the foil. Remove the packets from the grill and let rest for about 10 minutes. Carefully open the foil packets, remove the ribs, and discard the rendered fat and foil. Grill over direct medium heat, with the lid closed as much as possible, until they are sizzling and lightly charred, 10 to 12 minutes, turning and basting once or twice with the sauce. Remove from the grill and let rest for about 5 minutes. Cut into individual ribs and serve warm with any remaining sauce. The BBQ sauce makes more than 2 cups so save some for later. You will be using about 1 cup of this sauce in this recipe.

I had a difficult time figuring out PP per serving. At worst it would be 9 PP per 4 ounce serving of pork. Since these are on the bone, it would be 4 ounces of meat.

Wow Nelly! That’s how I felt when I was getting my hands messy while chomping on these Lip Smackin’ Barbecue Baby Back Ribs. It has summer written all over it. Grilling in the backyard, keeping the house cool and still enjoying a hot meal on the patio. I served this with my roasted street corn. Oh and I kid you not, follow this process, which I discovered on the Webber website, because, it is by far the easiest way to grill pork ribs. You don’t have to baby sit for hours on end to get that fall-off-the-bone effect. Better yet, you have more time to sit back, relax and enjoy a nice cold one. Any really, messy is what ribs are all about. Give each person a damp paper towel (or two) and no one will care how messy their fingers and face get. Enjoy.
