Lentil Potato Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. Yellow onion minced
  • 1/2 c. Celery minced
  • 1/4 c. Water
  • 2 c. Lentils, cooked liquid removed & mashed
  • 2 c. Potato mashed
  • 1 c. Whole-wheat bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp Dry parsley
  • 1 1/2 tsp Dry sage
  • 1 tsp Dry thyme
  • 1/2 tsp Dry marjoram
  • 1/4 tsp Dry rosemary
  • 1/8 tsp Black pepper grnd

Lentil Potato Burgers

Directions

  1. Preparation Time: 0:50 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Saute/fry the onion and celery in the water about 10 min. Combine in a bowl with the remaining ingredients and mix well. Form into patties and place on a nonstick baking sheet. Bake for 20 min, then turn and bake for an additional 20 min.
  2. Serve warm on toasted whole wheat burger buns.
