Jewish Apple Cake

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 4 c. Flour
  • 2 c. Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 4 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 c. Orange juice
  • 4 x Large eggs
  • 1 c. Veg. oil
  • 6 x Apples, peeled, cored and sliced

Jewish Apple Cake

Directions

  1. Mix three-fourths c. sugar and cinnamon; set aside till needed.
  2. Combine flour, two c. sugar, salt and baking pwdr and sift into mixing bowl. Make well in center. Add in orange juice, Large eggs and oil. Beat well.
  3. Pour half the batter into well greased tube (bunt) pan. Spread half the apple slices over it and sprinkle with half the sugar-cinnamon m ixture.
  4. Cover with the rest of batter, top with remaining apples and sprinkle with remaining sugar- cinnamon mix. Bake in a 350 over about 1 1/2 hrs, till cake is done.
