Ingredients
- 1 2/3 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 lg egg
- 1 3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup flaked coconut, toasted if desired
- 1 cup chopped walnuts

Island Cookies
Time: 5 minutes prep, 10 minutes cook
Servings: 3 dozen
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375
- Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a small bowl.
- Beat butter, brown sugar, sugar and vanilla in large mixing bowl till creamed. Then beat in egg.
- Gradually beat in flour mixture.
- Stir in chips, coconut and nuts.
- Drop by slightly rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets
- Bake for 8 to 11 minutes or till edges lightly browned.
- Cool on sheets for 2 minutes then remove to wire racks to cool.
