  1. 1. Preheat the waffler. Close grids and plug cord in. The indicator light will go on during the preheating cycle, that takes about ten min.
  2. 2. Begin when the indicator light goes OFF.
  3. 3. Pour batter proportionately onto the bottom grid but not all the way to the edges. Use about one-third to one-half c. of batter, depending on waffler grid size. Some recipes may call for slightly more or possibly less.
  4. 4. Close grids. Don't hold handles during baking. Escaping steam can burn.
  5. 5. Bake till golden, about 90 seconds. Baking time will vary with consistency of batter and your preference fr browning.
  6. 6. Remove waffles from grids with a fork. Close grids.
  7. 7. As you bake continuously, the indicator light will go on and off.
  8. This tells you the thermostat is automatically keeping grids at baking temperature. IT DOES NOT INDICATE WHEN TO START AND STOP BAKING. Remember: When you close grids after removing baked waffles, the next waffles may bake in less time because the grids will store heat.
  9. 8. When you are finished baking, unplug cord from outlet and leave grids open to cold.
  10. 9. Clean the cooled grids. Brush crubs from grooves and wipe grids with a dry cloth or possibly towel to absorb excess oil.
