Hot Sauce with Green Chiles Recipe
Couldn't get any Tabasco Green Pepper Sauce where we lived, so I did the next best thing. Made up my own green chile hot sauce.
Ingredients
- 20 Jalapeno chiles
- 15 Serrano chiles
- 8 Habanero chiles
- 1 small onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 cups of water
- 1 cup of white vinegar
- 3 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 dozen 5 oz. bottles
Directions
- Chop off the stems of the chiles. Then slice them at quarter inch intervals. Chop the onion and garlic.
- Put them all in a pot with the water and cook at a simmer. Cook until tender. Add salt, pepper and sugar. Stir until dissolved.
- Add vinegar and transfer to a blender and blend until completely liquefied.
- Let cool. Put into bottles and enjoy.
