Hot Milk Sponge

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Hot Milk Sponge

Time: 25 minutes cook
Servings: 12 servings
 

Directions

  1. Beat eggs well.
  2. Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
  3. Add flour and baking powder.
  4. Add vanilla.
  5. Heat milk and butter and add last.
  6. Prepare 2 cake pans and divide batter evenly. I always grease and flour cake pans and add a piece of waxed paper to bottom of cake pan.
