Honey Apple Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Cortland apples, quartered and then halved
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp honey (blueberry!)
  • 1/8 tsp cloves
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp white sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 6 tbsp butter, chilled and cut into small pieces

Honey Apple Cobbler

Time: 15 minutes prep, 40 minutes cook
Servings: 5
 

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425
  2. Combine the apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, honey, cloves, and (1tbsp) butter in a large casserole dish. Bake for 10minutes.
  3. In a large bowl mix the flour, white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in the softened butter . Spoon the mixture over the cooked apples. Bake for 30minutes, or until sauce is bubbling and the topping has browned.

    might want to try a variation with the crust and use 50/50
    fl mixture

    cube and freeze butter/pulse in food processor/use milk to make a bisquit dough, roll out and place bisquits on top?
    I've cooked/tasted this recipe!
