Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. string beans
  • 2 lg. cooked potatoes, diced (or possibly 1 can sliced potatoes
  • 4 hard boiled Large eggs, diced (optional)
  • 2 c. diced ham
  • 6 tbsp. butter
  • 3 tbsp. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. lowfat milk
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 clove garlic
  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs

Directions

  1. Place string beans, potatoes, Large eggs, and ham in casserole. Place butter, flour, lowfat milk, salt, pepper, and garlic in saucepan and cook till thick. Pour over mix in casserole. Heat 2 Tbsp. butter and mix with bread crumbs. Sprinkle over top of casserole. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 min.
