Grilled Tuna With Chinese Five Spice Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Tuna steaks
  • 1 1/4 tsp Sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice, plus 1 tsp.
  • 1/3 c. Lite soy sauce
  • 1/3 c. Hoisin sauce
  • 2 tsp Honey
  • 2 x Garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 1/4 tsp Chinese five spice

Directions

  1. Marinate the tuna steaks in the sesame oil and lemon juice for 30 min.
  2. Prepare an outside grill with an oiled rack set 6 inches above the heat source. On a gas grill, set the heat to medium. While the tuna steaks are marinating, combine the remaining sauce ingredients and heat in a pan for 10 min over medium heat. Grill the tuna steaks for 6-7 min on each side, turning once, basting each side occasionally with the sauce.
  3. NOTES :Prep: 20 minutes, Marinate: 30 minutes, Cook: 15 minutes.
