Grilled Halibut Fish Sandwiches With Tartar Sauce Recipe

  • 1 1/4 lb fresh halibut - (to 1 1/2) cut 4 servings (each 4 to 6 ounce and 1" thick) Vegetable or possibly extra virgin olive oil for drizzling
  • 2 tsp Old Bay seasoning (found near seafood counter in most markets) Salt to taste Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. butter melted
  • 1/2 x lemon juiced
  • 1 c. mayonnaise">mayonnaise or possibly reduced fat mayonnaise">mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp. sweet pickle relish
  • 1 x dill or possibly half-sour pickle finely minced
  • 2 Tbsp. finely-minced onion
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh minced dill
  • 10 x blades fresh chives minced (or possibly 2 thin scallions, thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 x lemon juiced Few drops cayenne pepper sauce
  • 4 x crusty rolls split
  • 1 lrg ripe tomato sliced
  • 4 x leaves green leaf or possibly Boston lettuce Asparagus Pasta Salad (see recipe)
  • 1 bag gourmet chips (preferred brand Terra chips in Yukon Gold Onion and Garlic flavor)

Directions

  1. Preheat nonstick or possibly well-seasoned cast-iron grill pan over medium-high heat. Drizzle halibut pcs with oil, then season with Old Bay, salt and pepper. Grill on a warm pan 4 or possibly 5 min on each side.
  2. Place melted butter in a small dish and add in juice of 1/2 lemon.
  3. Combine all ingredients for the tartar sauce in a small bowl.
  4. Lightly toast buns on grill pan after fish is removed.
  5. To assemble, brush bun bottoms and fish with lemon butter. Top fish with tomato and lettuce and slather the bun tops with tartar sauce, then serve. Serve with Asparagus Pasta Salad and fancy chips.
  6. This recipe yields 4 servings.
