Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups ap flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup salad oil
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 lg egg room temp

Grannys Gingerbread
Time: 30 minutes prep, 40 minutes cook
Servings: 9
Directions
- preheat oven to 350
- grease and flour a 9x9 pan
- in a large bowl add molasses and boiling water stir until dissolved
- add the rest of the ingredients to molasses
- beat on low until well blended constantly scraping bowl
- increase speed to high and beat about 2 minutes
- pour batter into prepared pan
- bake 30-40 or until toothpick comes out clean
