,%20and%20Happy%20Birthday%20to%20ME!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20woke%20up%20to%20the%20smell%20of%20bacon%20today,%20so%20I%20knew%20it%20was%20going%20to%20be%20an%20awesome%20birthday.%20As%20much%20as%20I%20love%20to%20cook,%20it's%20really%20awesome%20to%20wake%20up%20to%20someone%20else%20making%20breakfast.%20That's%20one%20of%20the%20nicest%20things%20about%20being%20home.%20I%20feel%20taken%20care%20of.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20breakfast%20I%20had%20to%20adult%20for%20a%20little%20while%20and%20get%20my%20eyes%20checked%20at%20the%20eye%20doctor.%20Though%20I'm%20a%20year%20older,%20thankfully%20my%20very%20minimal%20prescription%20hasn't%20changed!%20Plus%20my%20new%20glasses%20are%20awesome.%20One%20of%20the%20pairs%20makes%20me%20feel%20intellectual,%20so%20if%20I'm%20not%20on%20my%20A-game%20one%20of%20these%20days%20I%20can%20sport%20those%20bad%20boys%20and%20fake%20it%20till%20I%20make%20it.%20%20Tonight%20is%20a%20special%20dinner%20out%20with%20my%20family%20and%20then%20I'm%20going%20to%20Baskin%20Robbins%20to%20have%20one%20of%20their%2031%20flavors%20since%20I%20turned%20the%20big%203-1%20today!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20hardly%20ever%20make%20sweets%20on%20this%20blog,%20but%20my%20birthday%20seems%20like%20the%20appropriate%20time%20to%20do%20so!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20have%20a%20lot%20of%20dessert%20recipes%20I've%20come%20up%20with,%20but%20I've%20never%20tested%20of%20posted%20them%20here.%20One%20of%20them%20is%20the%20following%20recipe,%20which%20is%20loosely%20based%20on%20a%20non-gluten-free%20butterscotch%20brownie%20recipe%20I%20found%202%20years%20ago.%20One%20of%20my%20most%20favorite%20flavors%20in%20the%20world%20is%20maple,%20which%20is%20right%20up%20there%20next%20to%20chocolate,%20so%20its%20about%20time%20for%20them%20to%20be%20merged%20into%20brownie%20deliciousness!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMaple%20Butter%20Brownies%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.%20Preheat%20oven%20to%20350%20degrees%20F.%20Grease%208%22x%208%22%20square%20baking%20pan.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.%20In%20a%20medium%20bowl,%20blend%20coconut%20flour,%20cocoa%20powder,%20baking%20powder,%20and%20salt.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3.%20In%20a%20small%20bowl,%20blend%20melted%20butter%20with%20maple%20syrup,%20vanilla,%20and%20eggs.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4.%20With%20a%20fork%20or%20spoon,%20blend%20maple%20mixture%20into%20the%20cocoa%20mixture%20until%20smooth.%20Fold%20in%20walnuts%20and%20chocolate%20chips.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4.%20Pour%20batter%20into%20prepared%20pan%20and%20bake%2030%20min,%20or%20until%20the%20edges%20start%20to%20pull%20away%20from%20the%20pan%20slightly%20and%20the%20center%20is%20set%20but%20still%20soft.%20Let%20rest%2010%20min%20before%20serving,%20warm,%20or%20cool%20completely%20and%20serve.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
