  • 8 slc White sandwich bread
  • 4 Tbsp. Butter at room temperature
  • 4 lrg Large eggs Salt to taste Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 lb Sliced pre-cooked ham
  • 1/4 lb Sliced Yellow Cheddar cheese
  • 8 slc Tomatoes

Directions

  1. Butter both sides of each slice of bread with 2 Tbsp. of the butter. In a saute/fry pan, heat the remaining butter. When the butter has melted, crack each egg into the pan (make sure you crack the egg about 2 inches away from each egg). Season the Large eggs with salt and pepper. Pan-fry the Large eggs for about 2 to 3 min or possibly till the white is hard and the yolk is still runny.
  2. To build the sandwich, divide the cheese between four slices of buttered bread. Season both sides of each tomato slice with salt and pepper. Place two slices of tomato on top of each piece of cheese. Divide the ham in four potions and place on top of the tomatoes. Place the fried Large eggs on top of the ham and place the remaining buttered bread on top of each fourth. Heat the saute/fry pan. When the pan is warm, carefully add in the sandwiches in the warm pan. Pan-fry the sandwiches for 2 to 3 min on each side or possibly till each side of the sandwich is golden. Serve hot.
  3. This recipe yields 4 servings.
