Fresh Peach French Toast

Ingredients

  • 8 slc French bread, sliced on the bias
  • 4 x Large eggs
  • 1/2 c. Heavy cream
  • 1/4 c. Grand Marnier
  • 3 Tbsp. Peach preserves
  • 1/4 tsp Fresh grated nutmeg
  • 4 Tbsp. Butter
  • 3 c. Fresh peaches sliced
  • 1 c. Maple syrup

Fresh Peach French Toast

Directions

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine the Large eggs, cream and half of the grand mariner. Whip well. Add in the peach preserves and nutmeg and mix till the preserves blend.
  2. 2. Place the bread in a casserole in a single layer and pour over the batter. Chill for several hrs.
  3. 3. Heat a large skillet till warm. Add in the butter and when it is warm add in the soaked bread and brown well on both sides.
  4. 4. Meanwhile in a sauce pan, add in the peaches, Grand Marnier and syrup. Simmer for 2-3 min. Serve the peach syrup over the French toast.
  5. 5. Serve at once.
