Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil
  • Corn tortillas(yellow , white, or blue corn )
  • Salt
  • Frying pan or deep fryer
  • Tongs
  • 2 paper towels

Directions

  1. Heat oil on burner over medium heat
  2. Cut 10 tortillas into quarters
  3. Place tortillas neatly in pan or place stacks in deep fryer do not overload
  4. Flip tortillas over one time each
  5. Fry until golden brown and crispy
  6. Season with salt to your liking or enjoy salt free
  7. They cook fast so pay attention !!!!
  8. Enjoy

    I add cinnamon sugar instead of salt, and place around ice cream.

      I made these with salt and I tried making them with the sugar and cinnamon... Apparently I'm incapable of frying chips. They were either soft in the middle...or burnt... Only a few turned out good. But my husband said they were okay... well...not the cinnamon sugar ones...for some reason they all burnt... So I'm going to give this 3 hearts, but only because I screwed them up.
      I've cooked/tasted this recipe!
