Filipino Style Soft Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered milk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 tablespoon water (or more) for binding
  • 1/4 cup sugar for coating

Directions

  1. Beat egg & oil.
  2. Add vanilla & sugar.
  3. Slowly add flour, milk powder & baking powder.
  4. Add a little water to bind the dough.
  5. Mold into small balls.
  6. With oiled hands, flatten the dough with palms.
  7. Coat with sugar.
  8. Put in a greased tray.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven for 10-15 minutes.
  10. STOVETOP BAKING: Flip cookies when bottom turns red.
