Filet Mignon With Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb Fresh Mushrooms
  • 3 Tbsp. Butter
  • 2 tsp Flour Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 1 c. Heavy Cream, heated
  • 6 x Filet Mignons
  • 6 x French Bread Slice
  • 6 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1/2 c. Scotch

Filet Mignon With Mushrooms

Servings: 6
 

Directions

  1. Slice mushrooms and saute/fry in 3 Tbsp. butter. Add in flour and salt and pepper to taste. Blend well. Stir in hot cream. Keep well heated.
  2. In a separate skillet saute/fry the filets in warm butter for 2 1/2 min per side (for rare).
  3. Saute/fry bread slices in 6 Tbsp. butter, turning often to prevent butter from being absorbed. Arrange bread slices in a ring on well heated platter.
  4. Top with the filets and arrange the mushroom sauce in the center. Stir the Scotch into pan juices, boil up for a minute or possibly two and spoon sauce over the meat.
  5. Additional sauce can be passed separately.
