,%20and%20added%20green%20food%20coloring%20to%20a%20chunk%20of%20it.%20Squeezed%20that%20out%20of%20an%20icing%20tip%20and%20added%20green%20sugar%20crystal%20sprinkles%20for%20the%20mint%20truffles.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELastly%20were%20the%20almond%20truffles.%20I%20didn%E2%80%99t%20have%20any%20almonds%20to%20sprinkle%20on%20top,%20so%20I%20used%20the%20uncolored%20icing%20to%20decorate%20the%20tops%20of%20the%20almond%20truffles%20with%20various%20patterns/pictures/etc..%20This%20made%20them%20all%20super%20festive%20and%20caused%20my%20hand%20to%20get%20entirely%20too%20crampy.%20I%20had%20frosting%20leftover%20(from%20both%20almond%20and%20mint%20truffles),%20so%20you%20can%20see%20that%20in%20the%20background%20I%20took%20some%20store-bought%20chocolate%20chip%20cookies%20and%20sugared%20them%20up%20a%20bit.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20was%20easy%20to%20make%20the%20base%20truffle%20for%20these,%20but%20it%20was%20a%20bit%20of%20a%20pain%20to%20dip%20them%20all%20in%20poorly%20formed%20liquid%20chocolate,%20then%20top%20them%20all%20individually.%20Several%20days%20after%20doing%20this,%20I%20ended%20up%20making%20mint%20bark,%20whereupon%20I%20learned%20that%20it%20is%20fantastically%20easy%20to%20melt%20chocolate%20in%20the%20microwave,%20and%20that%20I%20never%20should%20have%20added%20any%20margarine%20in%20the%20first%20place%20to%20make%20the%20coating%20for%20the%20truffles.%20Mint%20bark%20is%20also%20significantly%20easier%20to%20make%20then%20truffles%20(if%20you%E2%80%99re%20decorating%20the%20truffles%20like%20I%20was,%20at%20least),%20so%20I%20may%20stick%20to%20making%20that%20over%20truffles%20in%20the%20future,%20to%20be%20honest.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHere%E2%80%99s%20the%20recipe%20I%20cobbled%20together%20from%20various%20internet%20sources%20to%20make%20it:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESmash%20up%20a%20bunch%20of%20oreo%20type%20cookies.%20Microwave%20about%201.5%20%E2%80%93%202%20bags%20of%20chocolate%20chips%20until%20melted,%20mix%20together%20with%20smashed%20cookies.%20Dump%20into%20greased%20cookie%20pan%20and%20spread%20around%20the%20best%20you%20can.%20Refrigerate%20for%20awhile.%20Microwave%201%20bag%20of%20white%20chocolate%20chips%20until%20melted.%20Squirt%20in%20some%20mint%20flavoring,%20plus%20food%20coloring,%20mix.%20Spread%20on%20top%20of%20refrigerated%20chocolate,%20add%20sprinkles,%20let%20cool.%20Smash%20into%20pieces,%20and%20enjoy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERumor%20has%20it%20this%20also%20works%20great%20with%20crushed%20peppermint,%20might%20have%20to%20attempt%20that%20sometime.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThese%20icons%20link%20to%20social%20bookmarking%20sites%20where%20readers%20can%20share%20and%20discover%20new%20web%20pages.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECelebrate%20The%20Holidays%20With%20Flaccid%20Peppermint%20Oreo%20Mint%20Bark!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
