Easy Apple Torte Recipe

Ingredients
- 1/2 c. Butter,, softened
- 1/3 c. Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla
- 1 c. All-purpose flour
- 8 ounce Cream cheese
- 1/3 c. Sugar
- 1 x Egg
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla
- 1/3 c. Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 4 c. Diced peeled apples
- 1/4 c. Slivered almonds Whipped cream for garnish
Directions
- Heat oven to 440. Cream butter, 1/3 c. sugar and 1/4 tsp. vanilla.
- Blend in flour. Spread on bottom and sides of 9 inch springform pan.
- Combine cream cheese, 1/3 c. sugar, egg and 1/2 tsp. vanilla and blend till smooth. Spread proportionately over pastry lining. Combine 1/3 c. sugar and cinnamon and toss with apples to coat proportionately. Arrange apples over cream cheese filling. Sprinkle almonds proportionately over the top. Bake 10 min then reduce heat to 400. Bake 25 min longer. Cold before removing springform pan rim. Chill till chilled then garnish with whipped cream if you like.
