Deluxe Sugar Free Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bread
  • 5 c. or possibly 2% or possibly Regular Lowfat milk
  • 6 large eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 or possibly 3/ c. raisins
  • Dash of salt
  • 2 1/2 teaspoon bulk Sweet and Low brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 T butter

Deluxe Sugar Free Bread Pudding

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Butter 3 qt casserole dish. Toast bread slices lightly. Spread with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar and nutmeg. Spread raisins over top. In saucepan scald lowfat milk. Blend egg, sugar and vanilla and salt and stir in scalded lowfat milk. Pour over bread and raisins. In oven place pan of very hot water 1 inch deep and put casserole dish in it. Bake 35 to 60 min and test with knife. If comes out clean, it is done. Remove from oven and serve warm with cream or possibly cool whip.Serves 8 to 10.
