  • For the batter/ dough
  • 2 cups regular flour
  • 1 tablspn sugar
  • 1 tablspn dry yeast
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 2/3 warm water
  • 1/4 vegetable oil
  • For the sugar syrup
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 11/2 cups water
  • For frying 3 cups canola oil


  1. mix all batter ingredients with a whisker until smooth
  2. Cover and let it rest for 35/40 mins
  3. In the mean time make the sugar syrup by mixing sugar and water together in a small sauce pan and cook on medium heat for 15 mins.
  4. While the oil geting hot 350f
  5. Once batter is ready place it near your frying pan where you are going to use your oiled hand and scoop an amount of batter and pipe it through your thumb and index finger while the other hand holding an oiled teaspoon and scoop from your other hand It will form a ball of dough direct to the oil and fry it for 3-4 mins or u till nice golden brown color remove from oil and dip into the sugar syrup for 20sec. And into a big plate.
  6. Continue frying the rest of the batter
  7. Enjoy!
