Directions

  1. Mix together corn starch, flour, baking pwdr, oregano, garlic, salt and pepper.
  2. Add in water and egg; stir till smooth.
  3. Dip cauliflower one piece at a time in the batter and carefully drop in warm fat. Fry till golden.
  4. Drain on paper towel.

    Fried cauliflower tastes like the holidays to me. I've never tried it prepared this way, but I can say: cook cauliflower florets till just tender, dip in beaten egg, roll in seasoned bread crumbs. Fry in oil at least 1/2 inch deep in a skillet, turning florets to brown all sides. Remove, keeping cooked pieces warm in the oven, sprinkle with salt to taste. Heavenly!
