Cumin Rice

Cumin Rice by Joyce Leung

This rice is a delicious mix of cumin and cinnamon. It provides a nice, slightly sweet flavor, that is a perfect complement to any middle eastern dish. The only dishes I would avoid serving this with are sweet dishes with dates, figs, etc. I served it with my Braised Lamb with Beans. It was great!

Moroccan Broiled Fish Skewers or Fillets

Moroccan Broiled Fish Skewers or Fillets by John Spottiswood

This is a tasty Moroccan dish that you are sure to love. Serve it over salad, cous cous, bulgar pilaf, or white or brown rice. We've used thick white fish but also thinner fish like catfish or tilapia when they are more reasonable. You can't skewer them, but you can broil the whole fillet (see picture). It also works with salmon…

Curried Peanut and Tomato Soup

Curried Peanut and Tomato Soup by Gloria Bass

I adore this soup - so easy to make, delicious and satisfying. I've also made it with chunks of sweet potato added for a stand-alone meal soup. The distinct flavors of fresh cilantro and curry powder, along with the unexpected addition of peanut butter, turn a simple tomato-based soup into something special. You can make it…

Moroccan Hareera (Harira)

Moroccan Hareera (Harira) by Amos Miller

I have read and respect the many recipes for this famous soup that have been posted on CookEatShare. However, I have not found a true recipe, as I experienced the dish, so I thought I should add the one I enjoyed several times a week, year 'round for nearly a decade. Commonly, and mistakenly, thought of as only a soup consumed to…
