Crock Pot Honey Glazed Ham ~ Easy Ham, Slow Cooked and Smothered in a Honey Glaze!

When we bought, gutted and remodeled our house one of the huge things was the kitchen. As you can imagine this was my “baby” when we were designing it. Designing was aka stuffing as much cupboards, appliances and counter tops into one space and yet be functional. My old kitchen was the size of a broom closet and I could not wait to get my hands on a bigger kitchen. It was a dream for me. It’s not huge by any means but it’s way, way more functional that my old kitchen. Plus it’s laid out for efficiency, which I seem to have achieved!

One of the big “wishes” on my list was a double oven, due to my mom instilling this lesson early on in life. If you ever get to design your kitchen a double oven is a must have. I remember so many different holidays where she was trying to juggle the temperatures and times of different dishes plus the simple fact that she just didn’t have enough oven space. Lesson learned.

Problem with the double over is you loose some counter space because it takes up an entire section plus you still have to have your stove top somewhere. Once again, my kitchen is bigger than my old one but not huge so I had no idea what to do. The old stove top was on the bar area and with little fingers this was no ideal. My hubs, the practical one, informed me that I really should just get a regular oven/stove combo and then put in another oven next to it, replacing a cup board and running the counter seamless over it. Perfecto! That’s what we did. I have my “double” oven essentially. Now I’m ashamed to say I haven’t used it much but it does make baking cookies faster! Someday when I entertain a lot….

Now what to do when you are having company and you don’t have a double oven, yet you are trying to make a full meal for them? We are talking meat, potatoes, veggies etc. Enter some amazing Crock Pot “cheat” recipes! It frees up your oven space and they are so simple! Throw them in the slow cooker ahead of time and you don’t have to worry about them. I have a couple different options coming up in the next few weeks for Easter but these can easily be used for any holiday or gathering!

This Honey Glazed Ham recipe is so easy with minimal ingredients but yet you end up with amazing, flavorful ham!
