Crock Pot Chicken Terriyaki

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs chicken breasts, boneless
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce
  • 6 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3/4 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons cold water
  • 4 cups cooked long grain rice
  • 4 cups cooked broccoli

Crock Pot Chicken Terriyaki

Time: 15 minutes prep, 8 hours cook
Servings: 8
 

Directions

  1. Place chicken in a 4 qt. slow cooker.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sugar, soy sauce, cider vinegar, ginger, garlic and pepper.
  3. Pour over chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until chicken is tender.
  5. Remove chicken to a serving platter; keep warm.
  6. Skim fat from cooking liquid.
  7. Place liquid in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  8. Combine cornstarch and water until smooth.
  9. Gradually stir into liquid and stir until sauce is thickened.
  10. Pour sauce over chicken, rice and broccoli.

    Another terriyaki twist that i find good to try. Sounds delicious!
