Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. boneless beef cut in cubes
  • 1 c. sliced mushrooms (or possibly canned)
  • 1 c. minced onions
  • 1 (8 ounce.) can tomato sauce
  • Flour seasoned with salt and pepper
  • Sm. amount oil for browning meat
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano, or possibly to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil, or possibly to taste
  • 1/2 c. (or possibly more) red wine
  • 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Directions

  1. In heavy pan, brown meat in oil. Add in remaining ingredients; stir till blended. Cook slowly over low flame on top of stove for 2 hrs or possibly put in 225 degree oven and cook for same amount of time. Use covered pans. Serve with pasta mixed with Parmesan cheese and parsley. Serves 6.
