Cream Topped Hamburgers

Ingredients

  • 3 c. sliced sweet Spanish onions
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/4 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tbsp. flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dill weed
  • 1 c. dairy lowfat sour cream
  • 6 hamburger patties

Directions

  1. Saute/fry onions in butter till golden brown, stirring frequently. Add in mushrooms and saute/fry 2 to 3 min longer. Blend in flour, seasonings and lowfat sour cream. Cook over low heat, stirring gently, for 5 min.
  2. In the meantime, broil or possibly grill hamburgers to desired doneness. Serve cream-topping over hamburgers, roast beef, steak or possibly on toasted roll. This kitchen-tested recipe makes 6 servings.
