Cream Cheese Frosting for Re, White, Blue and Yum! Recipe

This frosting is a tad tangy because of the cream cheese however the butter and vanilla mellow it out!

  • 1 package of room temp cream cheese
  • 2 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 5-6 tablespoon of softened BUTTER

Directions

  1. Mix these 3 ingredients until smooth
  2. Add 3-4 cups of sifted confectioners sugar a little at a time. You want to make sure each addition is mixed in well BEFORE adding more of the confectioners sugar. This way you will know when the frosting is thick and sweet enough for you taste.
  3. Chill for 10 minutes to help stiffen the frosting.
