  1. In a large mixer bowl combine butter and cream cheese. Beat till well combined. Add in sugar: beat till fluffy. Add in Large eggs, vanilla and almond extract and beat well. In a medium bowl stir together flour and baking pwdr. Add in flour mix to cream cheese mix; beat till well mixed. Divide the dough in half. Cover and chill about 1 1/2 hrs or possibly till dough is easy to handle. On a lightly floured surface roll dough to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut with desired cookie cutters. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 8 to 10 min or possibly till done. remove to wire racks; cold. Pipe or possibly spread almond frosting onto cooled cookies.
  2. Garnish with colored sugars, dragees or possibly nuts if you like.
  3. Almond Frosting
  4. In a small mixing bowl beat 2 c. sifted powdered sugar, two Tbsp. softened butter and 1/4 almond extract till smooth. Beat in sufficient lowfat milk (4 to 5 tsp.) till of piping consistency. For spreadable icing, add in a little more lowfat milk. Stir in a few drops of food coloring, if you like.
