Achara by ShaleeDPIs a pickled green papaya fruit that has a sweet-sour taste. Very nice to eat with fried fish, or grilled meat. My version of achara is very finely grated compared to the commercial ones. The sweet-sour tang is much tasty too! |

bulalo by [email protected]This is one of my asawa ko's favorite soups. He says the bone marrow tapped out of the bone is the best part. Some recipes use beef bone marrow brought from the asian market and saba depending on the region. If you choose to you may use a pressure cooker to speed it up. |

Ginataan Fiesta by Lidy ConcepcionThis is typically served during snack time. Ginataan means cooked in coconut milk. Coconut is grated and then the grains are formed in lumps by hand and then squeezed or pressed to get the juices from them. This dish is almost like the ginataan halo-halo but this one has fruit cocktain, and also tastes good. |
