Cold Brewed Vanilla Iced Coffee

Time: 1 days prep
Servings: 10

Directions

  1. To start the brewing process, combine and stir together, the coffee grounds, 6 cups cold water and both vanillas in a large mason jar. Cover with the lid, but do not completely seal it, as gasses need to be released during the brewing process (I just rest it on top). Allow to rest at room temperature for 24 hours, stirring occasionally.
  2. When the time is up, stir once more and filter it. Line a strainer with a coffee filter and place over a deep bowl or pan. Pour the coffee mixture into the lined strainer. The mixture won’t all pour in at once, so keep pouring more in, as it strains down. When all the liquid is out of the jar, pour the strained cold brew into a clean mason jar. Add a bottle or two of water (to taste) to the cold brew because it is very condensed at this point. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving with your favorite additives.
