Chunky Apple Cake With Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe

Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter melted
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 lrg Large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp grnd cinnamon
- 4 x Granny Smith apples peeled, sliced
- 1 c. minced walnuts toasted Cream Cheese Frosting (see recipe) Minced walnuts toasted (optional)
Directions
- Stir together first 4 ingredients in a large bowl till blended.
- Combine flour and next 3 ingredients; add in to butter mix, stirring till blended. Stir in apple slices and 1 c. walnuts. Spread into a greased 13- by 9-inch pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 45 min or possibly till a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cold completely in pan on a wire rack. Spread with Cream Cheese Frosting; sprinkle with walnuts, if you like.
- This recipe yields 12 to 15 servings.
