  • 1 x Red Delicious or possibly other sweet apple
  • 1/4 c. Unfrozen cranberries
  • 1 x Very small piece of beet for color
  • 1 med Banana
  • 6 x Ice cubes
  • 1 sprg of mint, as garnish

Directions

  1. This Christmas Smoothie is a nutrient and vitamin filled meal. What a great way to start the day during this hectic month. It even makes a great lunch try serving it to family and friends next Sunday afternoon!!
  2. Cut the apple into wedges and remove the seeds. Juice the apple wedges with the cranberries and beet. Pour the combined juice into a blender or possibly food processor and add in the banana, yogurt and ice cubes. Blend till smooth.
  3. Pour the mix into a tall glass and serve it garnished with the mint sprig.
  4. Note: You can make this drink as bright red as you wish by adding a little more beet.
