Christmas Morning Sandwiches are a tradition in our house. Made the night before, baked while you open presents. Merry Christmas!

Ingredients

  • Per Sandwich: 2 slices of thick bread
  • 2 slices of deli ham
  • 2 slices of deli smoked turkey
  • 2 slices of provolone cheese
  • 1-2 beaten eggs per sandwich
  • Milk for thinning (optional)

Directions

  1. To make each sandwich take 2 pieces of bread
  2. Layer as follows: 1 slice of cheese, 4 slices of meat (usually 2 of each type), 1 slice of cheese
  3. Place bread on top
  4. Beat eggs (and milk if adding) and place in a pie plate
  5. Dip each side of the sandwich into the egg (or egg and milk) mixture allowing bread to soak up a nice supply of egg
  6. Cut sandwich diagonally and arrange in a sprayed casserole dish, cut side down
  7. Cover with foil and place in fridge until ready to bake
  8. Preheat oven to 375º F
  9. Place sandwiches in oven uncovered and bake for about 30 minutes until crisp and golden
  10. Serve with Ultimate Cranberry Sauce
  11. ENJOY!!
