Ingredients

  • 2 c. Flour
  • 2 c. Sugar
  • 2 stk margarine
  • 1 c. Water
  • 3 1/2 Tbsp. Cocoa
  • 2 x Unbeaten Large eggs
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 c. Buttermilk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 stk margarine
  • 1/3 c. Buttermilk
  • 3 1/2 Tbsp. Cocoa
  • 1 box (1-lb) powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 c. Nuts optional

Directions

  1. Mix flour and sugar in a bowl. Put margarine, water, and cocoa in pan and bring to a boil. Pour over sugar and flour. Beat remaining ingredients together and mix well. Pour into a greased 11 by 16-inch cooky sheet. Bake 20 min at 400 degrees.
  2. Frosting: Boil margarine, cocoa, and buttermilk until slightly thickened, stirring constantly. Remove from stove and add in the one lb. of powdered sugar. Add in nuts and vanilla and stir.
