Chocolate Chip Applesauce Cake Recipe

Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 unbeaten Large eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 2 c. applesauce
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tbsp. cocoa
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Oil and flour 9 x 13 inch pan. Sift dry ingredients; add in butter, Large eggs and beat. Add in applesauce and beat lightly. Pour into oiled and floured pan. Before baking sprinkle 2 Tbsp. sugar, 1/2 c. minced nuts and 1/2 c. chocolate chips over batter in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 min or possibly till toothpick comes out clean. Freezes well. (1/2 recipe for 6 x 10 inch pan.)
