Chocolate Angel Food Cake Dessert

Ingredients

  • 1 angel food cake
  • 2 T water
  • 4 egg yolks, well beaten
  • 1 T sugar
  • 1 pkg. chocolate chips or possibly 8 ounce sweet chocolate
  • 1 c. whipped cream or possibly Dream Whip

Chocolate Angel Food Cake Dessert

Directions

  1. Heat chocolate in double boiler. Add in water, sugar and egg yolks, gradually beating thoroughly (cool). Mix in 4 beaten egg whites and cream that has been whipped. Cut angel food in bite sized pcs. Place a layer in well buttered pan, 9"x13". Alternate cake and chocolate mix; be sure to cover top of cake evenly. Cut into squares and garnish with whipped cream and red cherry. Refrigerate in refrigerator for 24 hrs.Serves 12.
