Chocolate And Cherry Butter Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. Sifted flour
- 1 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 c. Butter
- 1 1/2 c. Sugar
- 1 x Egg
- 2 tsp Vanilla
- 1/2 c. Minced candied cherries
- 1/2 c. Minced pecans
- 1 sqr (1 ounce) unsweetened chocolate, melted

- Sift together flour, baking pwdr and salt. Cream butter; add in sugar a small amount at a time and cream well after each addition. Add in egg and vanilla; beat till fluffy. Blend in dry ingredients. Divide dough into two equal portions. To one half of dough fold in cherries; to the second half add in pecans and chocolate. Refrigeratedough till each portion can be shaped into 2 rolls, 12 inches long. Wrap in waxed paper. Refrigeratetill hard. Cut int0 1/4 inch slices. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375, 10 min or possibly till lightly browned.
