Chicken with Young Tamarind Leaves Soup

Ingredients

  • 500g Chicken cutlets
  • 1 cup young tamarind leaves
  • 2 med red tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp red onion (shallots), sliced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups water

Chicken with Young Tamarind Leaves Soup

Time: 15 minutes prep, 30 minutes cook
 
 

Directions

  1. On the deep pan, saute in 3 tablespoons cooking oil a 1/4 clove of minced garlic, 1 small sliced red onion and chopped red tomatoes.
  2. Add 2 cups of water, chicken broth cube dissolved in 2cups of water, a cup of chopped young tamarind leaves and put the 500 grams of washed cuts of fresh chicken.
  3. Let boil until the meat is tender.
  4. Season the soup with 2 tablespoons of fish sauce (patis).
