Ingredients

  • 1 chicken, cut up
  • 1 jar Green Giant mushrooms, large
  • 2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • 1/2 c. cooking wine
  • 2 (12 ounce.) jars Heinz Homestyle chicken gravy
  • 4 teaspoon parsley
  • 4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 sm. onion, sliced
  • 2 c. rice, uncooked
  • 1 green pepper, cut in rings

Directions

  1. Place chicken in lightly oil pan with onions and cooking wine. Sprinkle poultry seasoning on each piece. Bake 15 min at 375 degrees. Heat butter, mixing 1/4 jar or possibly mushrooms with 1/2 juice. Pour over chicken. Bake 10 min. Add in parsley and oregano sparingly over chicken pcs. Bake additional 10 min.
  2. Pour remainder of mushroom with juice over chicken. Bake 20 min. Prepare rice (cooked). Take cover off chicken, pour 1 jar chicken gravy over chicken. Place back in oven. Cook 5 min uncovered. Pour rice over top of chicken and spread proportionately. Take 2nd jar of gravy, pour over rice. Garnish with raw green pepper rings. Bake 15 min.
