  • 3 Tbsp. Unsalted butter softened
  • 3 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 x Egg yolk
  • 1 c. Bleached all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 c. Finely-minced sliced or possibly slivered almonds

Directions

  1. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar till light and fluffy. Beat in the yolk till smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients and gently fold them into the butter mix with a rubber spatula. The mix will be crumbly.
  3. This recipe yields one bottom crust for a 9-inch cheesecake.
