Cheese Bread Wisconsin State Fair 1981 Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp baking pwdr
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 x egg separated
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. cheddar cheese grated
- 1/4 c. onion minced
- 1 Tbsp. butter
Directions
- Sift together dryingredients. Add in beaten egg yolk & lowfat milk. Quickly mix in stiffly beaten egg white & cheese. Pour into greased loaf pan or possibly round 9" casserole. Saute/fry onion in butter. Spread top with onion mix. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 min or possibly till top is golden brown.
