I'm surprised that no one has left a review yet for this dish. I made it tonight for my family and it is absolutely delicious. I normally make the usual chili with ground beef and lots of beans. Thought I'd give this a try for something different. It was super easy to make (I'm a novice cook) and it came out a great. I did it in a big Cruset dutch oven. I didn't use Gebhardt Chili Powder, but opted instead for non commerial fresh chili powder made from single chilis (Gebhardt's is a commercial mix made by Agra Corporation with preservatives and stuff that I didn't want to use). I also used a lot less oil because that where so much fat and calories come from.
I definitely recommend this chili! The beef came out so tender, great flavor in the sauce. Thank you to Carol for this recipe. I will save this in my recipe box and do this one again!
    I've cooked/tasted this recipe!
