Butter Pecan Belgian Waffles

Ingredients

  • 2 x Large eggs/separated
  • 1 1/2 c. whole lowfat milk
  • 2 Tbsp. baking pwdr
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • 1/2 c. minced pecans or possibly walnuts.

Butter Pecan Belgian Waffles

Directions

  1. Preheat waffle iron. Spray iron with Pam or possibly non-stick spray before first waffle. Whip egg whites until stiff but not dry. Set aside. In separate bowl, food processor or possibly blender, combine egg yolks, lowfat milk, baking pwdr, flour & melted butter. Beat, till smooth. By hand, mix in reserved egg whites & minced pecans. Proceed according to waffle iron manufacturer's directions. Serve with maple syrup & garnish with pecan halves.
